No more Shengen Visa for Colombians!

The signature of the agreement between Colombia and the European Union was signed this wednesday (June 9th) to eliminate the Schengen visa requirement for Colombian citizens. In a formal ceremony, Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos thanked the EU’s decision on the matter and said that thanks to this agreement  Colombia will have a “very important future and that it is a major step.”

“This is a historic day for Colombia” said Santos.

With this signature begins the final stage of a process that will end at the latest in October 2015.

By October 2015,   Colombian citizens will be abel to travel up to 90 days to the EU without a visa.
