Iglesia de San Francisco – Colombia South America

The church of San Francisco was built in the year 1556. The interesting fact is that “La iglesia de San Fransisco”  is the oldest surviving church. The altar is a master piece of art, done in wood and gold just impressive. Beside that you will find expressive statues of saints.

Throughout the church you can observe the whole history of the Colonial period.  When you`re entering the church you will notice a nice incense smell & calming music. Its also amazing how the light and the shadows play over the place. The effects made from this shadows are unique and have obsiosly a higher meaning.
